Intro: Good Morning Church. This morning, we will be making a few changes to the way we have been Celebrating our Communion services because we want you to have a chance to personally engage with the Lord in a deeper way.
I want to set up this morning’s Communion time with a story which I hope will help you and I find a fresh perspective as we share this Communion time together. Several years ago, Kathy and I had a chance to go on a mission trip to Ireland. During that trip we were able to pop into the Titanic Museum that is in Belfast which, for a history buff like me, was wonderful. Did you know that a short while ago some new evidence came to light around the sinking of the Titanic. As you know history tells us that at 11:40 PM on April 14, 1912, the un-sinkable ship the Titanic struck an iceberg in the north Atlantic, and very quickly sank - with the loss of 1522 lives.
