A sudden storm rolled in. My wife's alarmed cry, "The boat's off!" sent us rushing to the shore. We watched in horror as our boat drifted away. My brother-in-law's quick action to swim out and secure the boat illustrated a profound truth: God is in charge of everything, yet He also equips us to act in challenging moments.
Our church, like that unexpected tempest, has faced its share of challenges. We see them posted on the timeline at the back of the church. We've navigated calm waters and weathered fierce storms, always moving towards the future God has planned. These experiences have taught us a crucial lesson: recognizing God's sovereignty—the belief that God has supreme power and authority over all things—while also embracing the capabilities He's given us.
