This Christmas season will be unlike any other we have seen in recent years. On Tuesday, our provincial government announced gathering restrictions that prohibit people from different households getting together socially. That means even immediate family members who live in different residences cannot gather unless they live alone and they have designated family members as their contacts. Violation of this public health order may result in a $1000 fine but can be upgraded to 100,000$ even for a first offense. Well that puts a damper on Christmas gatherings.
