Dear SVBC family and friends:
I miss meeting with you all. It has been a long haul and we have a ways to go. Yet I am grateful and thankful for the way God has kept us connected over these past 9 months.
By now you have likely heard about and reviewed the new measures implemented by the government of Alberta Tuesday night. The new restrictions limit our worship attendance to 15% capacity or 84 people in our sanctuary. We have been averaging 95-105 in person attendance on Sundays. Many of you join us online for livestream.
With the new restrictions limiting any public or private social gatherings, we believe that it is important for us to continue to provide opportunities to meet. Therefore, we will return to offering two services beginning this Sunday, Dec 13 at 930 and 11 AM.
Both services will be livestreamed and have children’s ministry. ASL interpretation will be provided at the 11 AM service only.
With these reduced numbers, it is critical that you pre-register online or by calling the church office at 780.458.3777 (Tuesday to Friday from 9 AM – 4:30 PM). Walk ins may not be able to attend because of these new limits. We do not want to put you or our welcome team volunteers in an awkward position, so I am asking you to please show this consideration to one another. (Click here for Registration details)
We will also aim to have 2 Christmas Eve services at 430 PM and 6 PM, registration will also be required, online or by phoning the church office. One or both of these services will also be live-streamed, please check the website for further details. (Click here for Christmas Eve details).
We hope we will all be able to gather sooner than later in 2021. But until then, let us remember:
“From the rising to the setting sun, His love endures forever
And by the grace of God we will carry on, His love endures forever.” (Chris Tomlin – 2001)
Sincerely and in Christ’s love,
Pastor Tom
