We have discussed rest and the necessity for the sabbath through Pastors Tom's sermon series. In this sermon, I would like to explore why we can rest. I have selected Psalm 107 as our text for this morning to do this. One word in this entire passage is more important than any other. We see it highlighted in the very first verse. It translates as steadfast love in the English Standard Version, loving-kindness in the American Standard Version, and mercy in the King James Version. The word in Hebrew is “Hesed" and is an attribute of God.
