The Good News Messengers
Imagine with me that you have a job working as an assistant to a scientist in a lab. The scientist is brilliant, and has spent their whole lives researching a cure for cancer. You have recently begun to work for them. One night, you are working later at the lab when you hear a big yell. You rush in to see what’s going on. It’s the scientist. He looks at you and says, “I’ve found it. I’ve found it. I finally found a cure.” He shows you his notes and lab results. You begin to feel excitement and joy as you think about the repercussions of this announcement.
