Jesus Challenges Religious People
One of the questions I ask participants in our baptism class goes like this; "What do people outside of Christianity think of Christians and the Christian life?" People share many answers like, “They think Christians are judgmental or hypocrites. They think our lives are boring. They think we can’t have any fun because we have to follow all these rules and restrictions. They think we have to live very religious lives where you go to church all the time." To some degree I get those conclusions. To people looking from the outside it might seem like we live boring lives. Compared to some other people, our lives can seem quite religious.
