Do you ever face times when you experience uncertainty about a decision you need to make? Sometimes, our own weakness or exhaustion may contribute to our undecided state. Decision-making requires strength and energy. Weakness contributes to indecisiveness.
Yet we can find what we need in the Lord.
Strength
Psalm 18:1 – “I love you O lord, my strength.”
Psalm 28:7 – “The Lord is my strength and my shield.”
Psalm 29:11 – “The Lord gives strength to his people.”
Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength.”
Psalm 84:5 – “Blessed are those whose strength is in the Lord.”
Wisdom
Psalm 16:11 – “I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.”
Psalm 73:24 – “You guide me with your counsel and afterward you will take me into glory.”
Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
So , if you have some decision to make ask the Lord for both His strength and His wisdom to make it.
“Lord, decision-making is hard. We may think that the most important thing is to just do something. But we can wasting our energy doing the wrong stuff or the less important because we avoided the hard work of making the decision. Please be our strength and wisdom for the decisions before us.”
